Big Christmas Weekend

What a weekened for little Leilani. On Saturday she got to meet Santa Claus for the very first time! She did really well because she stayed asleep in Santa's arms but I know deep down inside she was really excited. And then on Sunday, Leilani got to play the baby Jesus in a live Nativity. We had a Hymn Sing and a bunch of Nativities set up in the church gym. They decided to also have a live Nativity with our friends Chris and Jeni as Mary and Joseph (Dayne and I had that honor last year and thankfully I only had to hold a doll...). Thanks to a bottle, she remained asleep through this one too. One little girl kept going up to the stage and looking at Leilani because she couldn't believe that baby Jesus was actually here in our gym! Sunday, December 9, 2007

Welcome Home
We would like to announce that we are buying our first house! 2 weeks from today we will be closing on our own little piece of America. It's just a little 1 story house in Grand Prairie but we are pretty happy about it. We decided to stay in GP because it is close to both families and Dayne's work and we both really like the Grand Prairie 2nd ward. So for the next few years, we will be calling 2464 Silverado Trail home. Once we get all moved in and set up, I hope to have a house warming party so all our friends in the area can come over. It will be nice to have a little more room to party in than what our little apartment gives us now...Sunday, December 2, 2007

Thanksgiving
Alright everyone, please forgive me for my pathetic lack of blogging. It just seems that between taking care of Leilani (and by "taking care of" I mean constantly feeding) and taking care of myself and Dayne, I run out of time. But here are some fun pics of fun things we did at Thanksgiving. We went up to Kansas City where my sister Heidi lives. The first pic is at the old Union Station in downtown - a big, beautiful train station.
This is Dayne and I riding a bike across a cable. It is obviously safe or they wouldn't let any one do it because of the bricks under the bike - they balance the center of gravity therefore the bike can't fall off. Dayne is actually making the bike lean to one side. I wasn't brave enough for that. I mean, you are pretty high up...
